Crafts from coins

If you ask any person what kind of craftsmanship he knows from coins, then most likely he will answer - the money tree used in feng shui. In this master class you will learn how to make other handicrafts out of unnecessary penny-coins - paintings.

Master-class: painting "money tree" from coins with your own hands

It will take:

• frame for photography;
• sackcloth;
• three-layer large napkin;
• PVA glue;
• 60-100 pcs. coins;
• thermo-gun;
• acrylic paints of black and bronze color;
• brush, pencil, sponge.

1. We paste the burlap on the cardboard base of the photo frame.
2. Three-layer napkin is folded in half and cut into strips 1-1.5 cm wide.
3. We make strips of napkin flagella for the trunk of a tree.
4. To do this, take one strip of napkins, unfold, leaving all the layers, strip the halves for ease of twisting. We hold it at one end, lower it into the water and immediately remove it, if overexposed, the napkin will get wet and spoil, so you can wet your hands, not a napkin.
5. We twist it into a flagellum, scrolling the strip between the palms, approximately as we roll from the plasticine "sausage". If it is torn, then divide it into parts. It is desirable that the strips are curled in one direction and at an angle of about 45 °.
6. Draw on the sacking the sketch of the future tree and proceed to the application.
7. Ready flagellum with PVA glue on the burlap according to the intended pattern, when gluing the extreme contours of the glue should be applied slightly, so that it does not spread and the product looked neat.
8. Dry the "tree".
9. We glue coins with a thermo-pistol: first along the contour of the crown, and then in an arbitrary order, filling the space.
10. Remaining after the thermo-gun "spider" in the picture is removed with the help of a rough brush.
11. Let the workpiece dry out.
12. We paint our "tree" with black acrylic paint using a sponge and let it dry well.
13. Pour a bit of bronze paint, we moisten the sponge in it, and with an almost dry sponge it is easy with the same pressure to dip across the whole picture. Tip: if you have not worked in this technique before, then first practice with a similar pressure on a small piece of sacking.
14. We paste the picture in the frame.
15. Our hand-crafted artwork - the "money tree" picture of coins is ready!
