We sew curtains in the kitchen with our own hands
What we need:
- linen linen of neutral color 1.6 m;
- fabric in stripes and a cage of 30 cm;
- tissue in a cage 50 cm;
- Threads, scissors, pins;
- a pen;
- sewing machine.
Instead of checkered fabric, you can use a colorful fabric.
How to properly cut the curtains and sew them yourself, the following master class will help you.
Stage number 1:
- We sew the loops: from the fabric to the strip of cuts, 2 strips of 23 cm, bend in half along and we ground, leaving 1.5 cm from the edge. We iron the seam without touching the fold with the iron.
- Having stuck the strip on the edge of one side, turn it with the handle. Remove the outline, iron the workpiece for the loops. Exactly the same action done with the second strip. Cut the pieces into pieces of 25 cm.
- Linen cloth is cut to the size of the window. At the same time, we do not forget that it is necessary to leave allowances for seams: from above 1.5 cm, from below 5 cm and from sides to 3 cm. On the side, the fabric should be twisted twice and stitched away from the edge 1.5 cm. From the top edge Curtains are pinned, on the wrong side, folded in two times loops and tucked.
Finished loops are evenly distributed over the entire width of the curtains, and the distance between the loops is about 12 cm.
Stage number 2:
- From a checkered fabric we cut out a strip in the size 150 on 309 sm, a short edge we bend and smooth. Then, with the face down, apply this strip to the purl part and chop it with the pins along the entire length. Then the other lateral part of the strip is bent and combined with the processed edge of the web. We remove the surplus fabrics and bend the fold. The details are stitched, not forgetting at the same time to retreat from the edge of 1.5 cm.
- Finishing the flap bend to the face and iron the seam. The lower part of the checkered strip is bent inward and again ironed. After spreading the curtains on the table, we spread out the finishing checkered fabric and linen cloth. The lower part of the strip is pinned to the flax. Finish the strip to the edge.
- We make from a paper a pattern of a flower with a long leg. We cut out flowers from checkered and striped cloth. You can cut a part of the flowers in a mirror image.
Stage number 3:
- Having planned the bottom fold of the curtains, iron it. We sweep the flowers to the bottom of the curtains, combining the lower part of the stem with the fold of the curtain. For an unusual pattern we distribute flowers at different heights.
- Application sewn to the curtain along the edge of the seam "zigzag", then smooth the seams of the finished applique from the inside and the face. At the end, bend the bottom of the curtains by 2 cm and scribble. Our curtains in colors are ready!
