How is the formation of the correct child's posture?

The newborn has a bend of the spine in the form of a convex back arc. By the first month of life, it forms in the neck, starting from 6 months - in the thoracic spine.

At the age of 10 months the child, as a rule, begins to walk. At the same time, because of the weakness and severity of the abdominal muscles, a small bend forms in the lumbar spine, which continues to grow at preschool age. Completely their formation to 6 - 7 years. Bends are necessary to maintain balance and elasticity of the spine during movements.

During periods of rapid growth, 5 to 8 and 11 to 12 years, the spine does not have time to adapt to the increase in the length of muscles and bones, so most of the children have a violation of posture. The reasons for the curvature of the posture in the child can also be covered in the wrong diet or the wrong posture in the "sitting" position. In this case, for a correct posture, you should choose a chair in which the feet will stand firmly on the floor, and the legs are bent at the knees at the optimal value of 45 °.
