Frameless glazing of the veranda at the cottage

The terrace is a spacious area without walls and a roof, which is designed for rest and admiring the beautiful views around. But in winter we want to protect our house from bad weather conditions, and at the same time have the opportunity to admire nature. In this case, you can use frameless glazing for the veranda at the cottage.

We do not use the terrace in winter, and therefore there is no heating. To protect the terrace, use a sliding frame with a cold aluminum profile.

This profile is cold because there is only one glass in the structure and there is no air cushion, which protects the room from cold. Warm aluminum profiles are used for frameless glazing of gazebos and verandas where heating is installed or in winter gardens.

Frameless glazing of the veranda

For him, use a special, specially tempered glass, so the glass construction is very reliable. There are two types of structures for frameless glazed terraces and verandas: sliding and folding frames.

In the sliding frames on top and bottom of the structure are mounted rails, along which the glass canvas moves. When protection from precipitation is not needed, the entire structure can be compactly folded with a book. But you should keep in mind that this system is not suitable for winter gardens, because they require a greenhouse effect, and the sliding frames do not.

In the folding frames, the sashes are shifted one by one as a deck of cards. Frameless glazing of the veranda with the help of folding frames are made from both aluminum and plastic profiles. We recommend that you install frames from an aluminum profile, as it reliably holds large glass.

In aluminum frames, it is possible to install both transparent and tinted mirrors, to combine one with others or to install transparent polycarbonate instead of glass.
