Frittata: recipe

Who has never tried to make an omelet in his life? Probably, there is no such person. There are many kinds of this fairly simple, but very nutritious and unusually tasty dish, and if you do not like an omelette, then you just have not found your option yet. In different countries there are different traditions of cooking omelets, one of them is Italian frittata. The composition of fritata necessarily includes cheese, spicy herbs, in addition, this kind of omelette is necessarily prepared with a filling. As a filling use different vegetables, mushrooms, prepare frittata with smoked products, with meat and even with seafood. Frittata was born as well as pizza - this is another invention of Italian poor people, who spread the remains of different products in a frying pan, and to somehow decorate the taste of vegetables and make a nourishing meal, they poured everything with eggs and cheese. Frittata with potatoes

Cheese is also rubbed on grater. We'll shoot eggs, add 2/3 of cheese to them, pour this mass into a frying pan. Top with the remaining cheese and put the frying pan with potato fritat under the grill for 10 minutes.

Summer version with courgettes

Unusually delicious will get a frittata with zucchini or young courgettes.

Frittata with zucchini is also very quickly prepared. Zucchini wash and cut into thin straws or semicircles. Onion chop finely. We will heat the oil, fry onion and zucchini until blanching, add crushed basil and crushed garlic, salt and pepper. Cheese we rub on grater. Eggs vzobem, add cheese to them, mix well. We pour this mixture of zucchini and put the frying pan in the oven for 15 minutes. Frittata with zucchini is good with sour cream or unsweetened yoghurt.

Mixed variant

In general, vegetable fritata is an excellent option for breakfast and for light supper. It can be prepared with peppers, eggplant, corn, green peas, tomatoes, spinach.
