Greenhouse made of polypropylene pipes

As you know, for lovers of early vegetables and greenery, the greenhouse on the site is a necessity. But the device of the greenhouse requires the availability of building skills, time and a lot of material costs. Those who want to build a greenhouse will not only quickly, but inexpensively come to the rescue polypropylene pipes. How to make your own hands a greenhouse made of plastic or polypropylene pipes, and our article will tell.

Homemade greenhouse made of polypropylene pipes

So, it is decided - we will build a greenhouse made of polypropylene pipes. With what to begin? Of course, with the choice of location. The site on which it is planned to place the greenhouse should be flat, not subject to groundwater stagnation and well-lit.

Choosing a place, we determine the size of the future greenhouse. Depending on the scale of construction, we stock up building materials: planks, plastic pipes, fittings, fasteners, etc. For example, for a greenhouse with a base of 4x10 meters you will need the following set of materials:

All the wooden parts of the future greenhouse must be impregnated with an antifungal agent before assembly, because they have to be operated in conditions of high humidity.

Let's start with the assembly of the base frame. For her, we will make a rectangle of boards, the size of which will be 10x4 meters. Armature is divided into segments of 0.75 meters in length. We install the base frame, driving into each of its corners along a piece of reinforcement.

The rest of the segments are driven into the ground along the perimeter of the frame, distributing them every 0.5 meters. Each rod must be driven into the ground by about 0.5 meters, so that 0.25 meters of reinforcement remains above the surface.

On these pins, the frame of a greenhouse made of plastic or polypropylene pipes will be fixed.

The shape of the dome of the greenhouse can be different - spherical if the pipes are bent by an arc, or in the form of a tent. To impart the necessary rigidity to the structure, several more pipes must be laid on top of the support arches. If there is a desire to build a greenhouse in the form of a house, the pipes will have to be connected with each other using special tees.

From the end faces of the future greenhouse we build skeletons of boards, not forgetting to leave holes under the doors and a vent for ventilation. When this part of the work is finished, it will only be necessary to stretch the plastic film on the greenhouse and install the doors. A film for a greenhouse should be chosen at an average density, since a very thin coating risks tearing quickly, and a film of increased density does not necessarily last longer than one season.
