Interferon for babies

Interferon is a drug whose active ingredient is alpha-2b recombinant human interferon. This drug has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, refers to imunnomodulyatornym funds.

Act

This tool prevents the process of replication of viruses, as well as suppresses the division of infected cells already viruses. By its action this drug stimulates the production of specific enzymes (protein kinases and ribonuclease), which by their action suppress the translation process, and thus damage the matrix RNA of the virus. Indications

Drops in the nose Interferon according to the instructions are used to treat both acute and viral respiratory infections, including infants. This remedy is especially indicated for women during the current pregnancy, as well as for people who are very often and permanently ill with nasopharyngitis, laryngitis and other infections of the respiratory system, in particular its upper part. Often, the drug is prescribed as a preventive measure, to prevent the above listed diseases.

Application

A solution is prepared for the use of Interferon. To do this, take literally 2-4 ml of boiled water and add to the ampoule with the drug powder of the drug.

In this case, the dosage for infants is usually the following: 2-3 drops in each nasal passage. The interval between the instillations is 2 hours. Thus, the total number of instillations per day should be at least 5 times.

Interferon is also recommended for the prevention of viral diseases in infants. In this case, 5 drops are injected into the nose twice a day, and the interval between two subsequent instillations is not less than 6 hours.

Contraindications

The main contraindications for the use of the drug is individual intolerance. It is forbidden to use drugs in children who have already had severe allergies in their history.
