- Before you make a foil flower, you need to pick the right base material. In shops different foil is sold, but a neat delicate hand-crafted item will only come from a thin one. For example, the foil for baking is more durable and not suitable for creativity. When the foil is matched, you can start working. First of all, cut stripes 3 cm wide. It's not necessary that they turn out very neat, the technique tolerates some carelessness.
- The flower will resemble a lily, it will require three petal details, each of which will take 9 strips of foil, that is, only 27 strips. The next step is to turn the strips into wires. First we crush the strip along the entire length, then gently rotate it between the fingers, as if we spin a thread. The foil slides into a tight "lace", which bends well. It is from these blanks that flowers are obtained, weaving from foil - this name was received by this hand-made technique.
- From the resulting 9 parts we collect the petal of a foil flower, the instruction is as follows: 8 bends twice, one wire bends "spout", as shown in the photograph, then on both sides of the "spout" we string 4 bent wires.
- To complete the petal it remains to do very little - we tighten all the wires so that they fix on the main, then we assemble the edges into a bundle and wrap this bundle with the ends of the part on which the rest were threaded. One petal is completely ready.
- We make two more petals, in the same way roll the foil into the stamens, making dense roundings at the ends, and fix all the details on the stick with an adhesive tape. Then the stem is wrapped with foil. You can admire the finished beauty!
