Most children from the first days of life need something that can be sucked in a moment of excessive anxiety or discontent. Very often such a subject becomes a pacifier, with which some babies do not part even in a dream.

This nipple gives the carapoys incredible calm and comfort and almost instantly calms the raging child. Meanwhile, the crumb can be even more stressful, if for some reason his favorite pacifier is not there.

To prevent this from happening, and the kid absolutely did not accidentally lose a tool so necessary for himself, all parents are recommended to purchase or make a special holder for the nipple. In this article we will tell you what they are, and which option is best to give preference.

Types of baby nipple holders

The holder for the pacifier may have several varieties, but its purpose is always to securely fix this object to the clothing of the crumbs and keep it clean. There are 3 main types of similar accessories:

• holders with a special grip for the ring, which are attached exclusively to the nipples with such a feature;
• holders with a loop that can be thrown on any pacifier, including, and not equipped with a ring;
• holders-chains, worn over the head of a youngster.

The latter variety is practically not used today in young parents, as it can cause harm to the child. That's why moms and dads prefer a modern and reliable nipple holder with a clip that tightly clings to the clothes and does not allow the dummy to fall to the ground.

How to make a holder for the nipple?

A plastic or silicone nipple holder can be purchased at any children's goods store. Meanwhile, some parents decide to create this accessory with their own hands, so that none of the other children has exactly the same. In this case, as a rule, make a nominal holder for the nipple, which will help to quickly determine the owner in case of loss of the device.

You can make this accessory yourself using the following scheme:

1. Take a suitable fabric and cut 2 rectangles 25.4 cm long and 3.81 cm wide.
2. Prepare a suitable elastic band 22 cm long, as well as 2 small Velcro bands about 1 cm by 1 cm in size.
3. Connect the 2 tissue rectangles to each other and sew.
4. Using a pin, thread the gum through this material.
5. Sew the ends of the rubber band to each other.
6. Attach a fixing ring to one of the sides of the future holder.
7. On the other hand, securely fasten the clip using Velcro.
8. Attach any decoration to the nipple holder with the name of the child, which can be purchased at children's goods stores or produced by yourself.
