The myths of the Eastern peoples are shrouded in mystery and riddles for the European man, if they are related to a particular place. And a special anticipation is the trip to a particular landmark , the origin of which is closely associated with myths, endowing it with an atmosphere of mysticism and mystery. Ancient legends say that in the 12th century a boy with a rooster was found here in a golden box. It was Kim Alchi, who later founded the Kim clan in Gyeongju. Those who are familiar with the history of Korea know that it has become the starting point for the formation of the Korean people. The child was adopted by the royal family, recognizing the heir of the family. Such a legend still extols the forest of Kerim to the rank of sacred places, and in 1803 a monument to Kim Alchi was erected here. Since 1963 the park has been included in the national list of Historic Zones.

Forest Kerim is adjacent to a complex of royal tombs, the palace of Panvolson and a place that served as the royal mansion in the era of Silla. Its area is 7300 square meters. m and completely filled with greenery. Here you can find the usual trees like oak, ash, maple, willow, and Korea-specific plants - zelkov, lespedets, Japanese sopora. The colorful atmosphere is complemented by bright yellow spots from the rapeseed inflorescences, which stretched along the walking aleks.
