Lisha called various dermatological lesions, characterized by the appearance of scaly, itchy rash in the form of nodules, papules that can be transformed into other types of rashes. In general, lichens have an infectious etiology, are contagious, transmitted from person to person, and some form from animals. It is very important to identify the disease in time and start treatment, because its progression can have very unfavorable consequences for the body. Let's consider, by what signs it is possible to distinguish various kinds of lichen.
Symptoms of pink lichen in humans
This form of lichen is caused, presumably, by viral pathogens. As a rule, it is preceded by recently transferred catarrhal diseases, weakening of immunity. The disease is recognized by the following manifestations:
- a sudden appearance on the skin of the trunk of a large pink patch of round shape (rarely 2-3 spots immediately appear), whose diameter is about 2 cm or more, in the center of which the skin begins to gradually acquire a yellowish tint, wrinkle and peel;
- formation on the skin of the trunk, hands and feet after several days of multiple pink round spots with a diameter of up to 1 cm, which gradually increase in size and also begin to yellow and peel;
- possibly the appearance of systemic signs - nausea, weakness, joint pain;
- After 2-3 weeks the spots turn pale and disappear, leaving behind whitish areas.
Symptoms of pityriasis (multicolored, sunny) depriving a person
This type of lichen is caused by yeast-like fungi, which are permanent "inhabitants" of human skin, but under certain conditions they begin to multiply, damaging the skin. Most often, provoking factors are: solar radiation, excessive sweating, hormonal failures. With pityriasis on the body (often on the neck, chest, back) there are rashes, characterized by such signs:
- small size;
- rounded clear boundaries;
- on the background of tanned skin look light, against the background of white - darker;
- painlessness;
- itching (not always);
- the spots gradually merge, acquire different shades (yellowish, brown, pinkish, etc.) during prolonged existence.
Symptoms of red flat lichen in humans
The exact cause of the appearance of this type of skin lesion is unknown, but it is believed that it is associated with a violation of the immune and metabolic processes. In this case, the skin and mucous membranes of the body develop a non-inflammatory rash, which is characterized by such signs:
- irregular shape;
- often located in groups, can be merged;
- red or crimson coloring;
- shiny convex surface;
- itching;
- after disappearance there is a hyperpigmentation.
Symptoms of shingles in humans
Shingles is a viral infection, the causative agent of which is the virus of varicella (herpes of type 3). Most often, rashes with this disease affect the skin of the body, appearing on one side along the nerve trunks. They are groups of erythematous papules that quickly transform into itchy, painful blisters with transparent contents, which then turn into crusts. The appearance of the rash is preceded by the following symptoms:
- increased body temperature;
- headache;
- enlargement of lymph nodes.
Symptoms of ringworm in humans
Ringworm is caused by pathogenic fungi, it can affect any parts of the body. Most often it develops against the background of weakened immunity, damage to the skin, the presence of dermatological diseases. The rashes look like pink spots with clear outlines, peeling and lighter in the center, which can reach 30 mm in diameter.
When located on the scalp of the scalp, ringworm in humans has more characteristic symptoms, because hair, located in the lesion, break off at an altitude of about 5 mm above the skin level. On emerging spots, a grayish white coating is present.
