How to choose a greenhouse from polycarbonate?
Not everyone can build a complex structure on his own plot, where it is easier to buy a ready greenhouse and simply install it in the right place. But do not hurry, first understand how to make the right choice.
When buying a greenhouse from polycarbonate, pay attention to these points:
- the number of arches and pediment - the fewer of them, the stronger the design;
- thickness of metal - not less than 1.2 mm;
- distance between arcs - should be equal to 0,67 m and more (but not more than 2 meters);
- quality polycarbonate - it must have a protective layer, so as not to deteriorate from the ultraviolet;
- thickness of polycarbonate - not less than 4 mm;
- size and design - if you plan to plant a minimum that is only necessary for your family, you do not need a huge greenhouse, it is enough to have a greenhouse made of polycarbonate, and for flowers and seedlings, you can at all manage a mini-greenhouse.

If you want to build your own greenhouse on your own,
Preferably, a two-layer cell material is selected. It keeps the heat well, while it is fairly light and easy to install. Its thickness will depend on the purpose of the greenhouse.
If this spring-summer greenhouse, 4 mm is enough. Winter greenhouses are built of polycarbonate in 8 or 10 mm thickness. Thicker walls do not make much sense, since a large number of honeycombs make them cloudy, as a result of which they pass little light. However, sometimes you can find winter greenhouses, made of 16 or even 20-mm polycarbonate.
