Review of the book "An Amazing Journey into the World of Animals: A Worldwide Search expedition", Anna Kleiburn, Kearney Brendan

"An amazing journey into the animal world" is not just a book-atlas or a book-encyclopedia. This is an unusual edition with elements of the game, which is perfect for exploring the world of animals for preschool children.

Edition

To begin with, I would like to say a few words about the book as a whole. As always - the quality of the publication at the height of Myth, 63 pages of offset printing in hardcover. The pictures are colored, the sheets are not snow-white, but greyish-greenish, which gives the book a certain naturalness. The format of the book is larger than the standard, slightly smaller than the A3, and it itself is quite weighty, about 800 grams. I would also like to note that the book has a sign that it was made of wood, the production of which was not harmed the environment. Well, a small but plush book about the animal kingdom.

Content

The book is very informative. It not only introduces the animal world of continents and countries, as is often found in publications of this kind. At the beginning of the book you will find a small introduction about the animal world in general and about where they live. The next turn shows the map of our planet and points and dotted it out the scheme of traveling around the world of animals. Then follows the main part - in it the reader will get acquainted with the inhabitants of 21 habitats - the biome:

On each spread below there are animals that inhabit biomes, with a short description and little readers are invited to find them all in the picture. For convenience, at the end of the book, the answers are found with all the animals. The pictures themselves at first seemed not quite bright, some animals are hard to see, but with further examination you understand that they correctly convey all the natural colors of the region. The only thing you'll have to get used to is the "pop-eyed" animals, which the artist presented so unusually: both animals, fish, and birds are depicted with equally bulging round eyes.

At the end of the book there is information about animal record holders of our planet - the largest and fastest. And also there is interesting information from different corners of the Earth, on the classification of living organisms and endangered animals. There is also a pointer with animal names and page numbers where they can be found.

In general, the book leaves a positive impression. I would recommend her to preschool children as an introductory publication.
