Selmun Palace

Creation of the architect Cakia

The palace was built in the XVIII century by the project of the local architect Duminik Kakia and executed in baroque style with characteristic towers on the corners and roof-terrace. Originally, the building was part of the Slave Redemption Fund, which carried out the release of captive Christians caught under the rule of Muslims. Later it was used by the Knights of the Order of St. John as a country house, in which they rested after hunting.
