Sensations in early pregnancy

First of all, it should be noted that the "pregnant" weeks should be considered according to the obstetric term, which is 14 days longer than the embryonic period. This means that the sensations at 3 weeks from conception will be quite different than at the same period of pregnancy, calculated from the last menstruation.

So, we will discuss those unusual sensations that manifest themselves exactly at the time of 2-3 midwifery weeks of pregnancy.

  1. Often, expectant mothers at the very beginning of the term do not have very pleasant symptoms, similar to PMS. It can be weak aching pain in the lower abdomen, drowsiness or dizziness, frequent sharp changes in mood caused by the restructuring of the hormonal background. Usually such signs symbolize the approach of menstruation, but in this case they become the first harbingers of pregnancy.
  2. Implantation bleeding is an insignificant bloody discharge that occurs after the embryo is attached to the inner cavity of the uterus. This process occurs just at 3-4 weeks of pregnancy, but the sensations of a future mother may differ. Bleeding can be so insignificant that a woman will not notice it, especially if the pregnancy is not planned.
  3. Most often, the first sensations in pregnancy are changes in the mammary glands. They swell, the nipples become more sensitive, the breast can ache a little, even with a light touch. The reason is that all the same hormones - progesterone, estrogen and, of course, chorionic gonadotropin, the level of which is growing rapidly.

Recall that all of the above sensations are a feature of the female body and every ongoing pregnancy. They can, as manifest simultaneously, and at all be absent, and all this will be a variant of the norm.
