Most children are very active and curious, which sometimes leads them to get different wounds. Therefore, every parent should know how to properly treat a wound to a child.
Than to process a scratch or a small wound at the child?
Processing should be like this:
- boiled water to clean from contamination around;
- rinse with hydrogen peroxide;
- treated with any antiseptic (alcohol solution, chlorophyllipt ). If they are not present, apply a bandage moistened with a strong solution of salt (1 tablespoon per glass of water);
- I only treat the edges of the wound with iodine or zelenka.
When processing it is better not to use cotton and not to bandage (provided that there is no bleeding), in the fresh air such wounds heal faster.
Than to process the big wound at the child (with a bleeding)?
1. Stop bleeding:
- trauma of the limb - lift above your head, apply ice;
- venous bleeding (dark blood flows slowly) - apply a tourniquet below the bleeding site;
- arterial bleeding (scarlet blood flows through the fountain) - apply a tourniquet above the bleeding site.
2. Inspect the wound.
3. Remove foreign bodies;
4. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide, weak solution of furacilin or manganese.
5. Cover the wound with a sterile napkin and tape tight enough. If the blood continues to leak out the bandage does not change, but simply add extra layers from the top.
After providing first aid with such wounds, you need to urgently go to the hospital.
In the course of damage to the integrity of the skin, bacteria enter the body of the child, which lead to complications when healing wounds. What to smear such wounds in children?
Treatment of a wetting wound in a child
This is a wound in which a lot of fluid is released, most often after burns, dermatitis or with ulcers. Primary treatment:
- changing the dressing as it gets wet, but at least once a day;
- application of water-soluble ointments, levomycol;
- You can wash the wound with disinfectants;
- In difficult cases, use as a Biathen Ag bandaging (sponges with silver ions).
Treatment of purulent wounds in children
Treatment is carried out in 3 stages:
Stage 1:
- removal of pus, necrotic tissues and toxins (hydrogen peroxide);
- the fight against infection (Vishnevsky ointment).
Stage 2:
- anti-inflammatory treatment with water-soluble ointments;
- protection of the surface from damage by ointments on a fat basis;
- stimulation of regeneration (methyluracil ointment, aloe juice).
Stage 3:
For drying, water-salt antiseptics should again be used, and to speed up wound healing, laser procedures, sea-buckthorn and dog-rose oil, aerosols. The bandage should not be torn off yet, so that scars do not form.
Whatever wound your child has received, it is better not to deal with self-medication, but in case of seriousness, it is necessary to show the doctor.
