Batik Museum opened in 2013 and is located in Georgetown , in a three-story mansion. His exposition is designed to demonstrate the history of batik in Malaysia . Here are presented new works, and already received fame. Works are made on textiles, rice paper and silk.
What is a batik?
Hand painting on the fabric using special compositions to obtain clear boundaries of the image is called batik. Such compounds are called reservoirs. It can be paraffin or some kind of rubber glue. Batik is an Indonesian word, which means a drop of wax. The technique of batik is based on the fact that the reserving composition does not pass through the paint.
