The Temburong River


Brunei is a territory of rich equatorial vegetation with an amazing flora and fauna. There are about 170 species of birds, 4 of which are endemic, and 200 species of mammals. A bit about the river Temburong

The Temburong River flows into the eastern district of Brunei with the same name and flows into the South China Sea. Its length is 60 km. Temburong is the second longest river in Brunei, but in the eastern part of the country it is the longest. On its length the river rises to 1100 m above sea level and crosses several national parks and reserves.

All Brunei rivers play a vital role in the lives of the local population and the country as a whole. So, Temburong is an important source of drinking and economic water, for many villages the river is the only link between many settlements, it transports food, medicine, etc. The river feeds the family, tk. it is inhabited by a large number of fish.

1. Ulu Ulu National Park Resort. To admire the beauties of the Brunei nature reserve jungle, we recommend you to purchase an excursion to the national park Ulu-Temburong - a hidden place located in the heart of the jungle of Brunei.

3. Recreation center Freme Rainforest Lodge . On the way to Ulu-Temburong Park , in the village of Batang Duri, is the wonderful holiday home Freme Rainforest Lodge - an ideal place for tourists. There are 2 separate rooms for men and women, each with five bunk beds and a shared bathroom.

The main attractions of the recreation center are a small but very informative and interesting zoo where some species of mammals and birds are bred, and an adventure park where you can climb, choose a descent from a height of 12 m, climb the observation tower, etc.
