The area of the bush is peat bogs, thickets of shrubs and alpine meadows. In addition, many cranberries grow in the forest. The environment of its habitat can be coniferous pine forests (pine, larch, fur-tree), deciduous or mixed forests.
As for where cranberries grow in Russia, they are mostly plains and mountain belts of the taiga of the Altai and the Far East, and coniferous forests. Moreover, sometimes in the forest-tundra and tundra, whole sour-sweet berries are found. A useful plant reached the cold shores of the Arctic Ocean. Also, cranberries grow in the harsh conditions of the Urals, in the mountainous regions of the Caucasus, in the Arkhangelsk or Murmansk regions, and also in Karelia.
