Wildlife Park Lion's Preserve


Just 30 kilometers from Johannesburg is an amazing place - Lion Park. Children will find this place fabulous, because here you can get acquainted with wildlife, watch the life of predators and other representatives of the South African fauna. The administration of the park claims that in no other place you can look so closely at animals as in the Park of Lions. The pride of the reserve is the white lions, the visiting card of this place.

Entertainment

Lion preserve offers a lot of entertainment, the most popular among them is the tour with Alex Larenti. He is the caretaker of the park, who has won admirers around the world thanks to his fearlessness, because he is known for his massages to lions. And the animals with which he works are not pets, but those who are looked through the fence and who are afraid to approach not only the guests of the reserve, but also the employees of the park. Alex Larenti feel among the wild lions of his, so the tour with him is incredibly interesting and fascinating.

Also you can visit other excursions, for example, by electric car. It is not large, therefore, no more than two people can be accommodated in it, passengers feel completely safe, so choosing a "trip" through the park on it gives you a unique opportunity to look at predators at arm's length. You can also attend a day or night lion feeding. This is a very spectacular sight, but it is not worth it to go to families with children.

For the small visitors of the park there is an amazing "attraction" - playing with the lions. While large lions live in an environment close to natural and visitors from their aggression are protected by a large high fence, small predators live in enclosures where people are allowed to enter.

On the territory of Lion Park there is a restaurant where homemade pizza and several other famous dishes are served in the national style, as well as cakes and dairy desserts.

It's amazing that in Lion Park there are shops with a very diverse assortment. In some you can buy works of African artisans, souvenirs, copies of the most famous national artifacts, and in others - clothes for adults and children, children's toys and everything that would remind you of a fun trip to the reserve.

Fauna

In the National Wildlife Park there are only four predators - lions, cheetahs, spotted and striped hyena. Herbivorous representatives of the animal world are much larger: ostrich, giraffe, African antelope, leopard antelope, zebra, black wildebeest and many others. Many of them are very friendly to people and will let them touch and even feed.

How to get there?

The easiest way to get to the Lion Reserve is from Johannesburg . From the city center are sent sightseeing buses, which will bring you back. If you decide to get to the park on your own car, then you need to go to the R512, then turn to R114 and follow the signs. So you can independently reach the park.
