- The dissolved composition quickly enough (for 5-7 minutes) freezes, so it is applied to the face quickly, with wide strokes, along massage lines.
- The mask is held on the face for 30 minutes. After 10-15 minutes after application it freezes, there is a feeling of contraction.

Classical mask includes only the basic components, without additional additions. The composition of this mask includes:
- sodium alginate - 2 g;

- water to dilute the mask to a concentration of thick sour cream.
Mask from wrinkles:
- Alginate sodium - 2 g;
- powder of shiitake mushrooms - 2 g;
- white clay - 5 g;
- calcium chloride - 1 ampoule;
- water - about 50 ml.
Mask with kelp:
- 3 g sodium alginate (pre-diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio);
- 1 teaspoon kelp;
- 8 g of cosmetic clay (preferably white);
- 30-40 ml of water for a separate dilution of a mixture of clay and kelp;
- 1 ampoule of calcium chloride.
Mask with pearl powder:
For the preparation of any of the masks, the powder of sodium alginate should be mixed with water in a proportion of 1: 1 and insist 5-6 hours.
Calcium chloride in the composition of home alginate masks plays the role of a plasticizer, that is, a substance that provides a solidification of the mask, but its entry under the skin can lead to acute inflammation.
