Angina of Stress

Disorders of the cardiovascular system, especially ischemic disease, occupy one of the first places among pathologies leading to death. One of the varieties of such diseases is angina pectoris, which usually occurs in people after 40 years for various reasons.

Stenocardia tension - classification and characteristics

The human heart is a muscle, the normal functioning of which is provided by sufficient intake of oxygen and nutrient components in the circulation. If the arteries are affected by sclerotic plaques, their diameter narrows and the blood flow is difficult, resulting in ischemia - oxygen starvation. The manifestation and the main symptom of the described condition is angina of tension arising on the background of intense physical exertion and accompanied by pronounced stitching pain in the sternum.

According to the nature of the course of the disease, the following types of pathology are distinguished:

  1. For the first time arisen angina of tension. The disease manifests itself over a period of 20-30 days, then either regresses or changes into a permanent form.
  2. Unstable or progressive angina pectoris. Deterioration of a person's state proceeds with seizures that occur suddenly, for no apparent reason. This is the most dangerous subtype of the disease, as it often leads to myocardial infarction .
  3. Stable exertional angina. The most common form of pathology, pain in the region of the heart appears exclusively with heavy physical work and overstrain.
  4. Variable angina of tension. Very rare type of condition, the signs of which disturb, as a rule, at night.

According to the severity of the disease, it is classified into 4 categories:

  1. The first functional class (FC) - moderate loads are transferred well, seizures occur only in case of excessive work.
  2. The second FC - the pain appears with light physical exertion (climbing the stairs, fast walking) and emotional stress.
  3. The third FC is the restriction of motor activity due to seizures, even when performing daily duties (walking about 100 m, cleaning).
  4. Fourth FC - the pain syndrome appears at rest and overcoming the distance of less than 100 m at a slow pace.

Stenocardia tension - symptoms

The main manifestation of the disease in question is an attack of pain in the region of the heart, irrigating the neck, arm and shoulder blade, which lasts about 5 minutes and ends with the intake of nitroglycerin. In addition, there are side effects of angina pectoris:

Treatment of angina pectoris

The main principle of therapy of pathology is the use of nitrate-containing drugs - nitroglycerin, isosorbide. The complex approach also includes parallel treatment of concomitant disorders (arterial hypertension, arteriosclerosis of blood vessels, diabetes mellitus). It makes sense to take aspirin group medications to facilitate blood flow and reduce blood viscosity.

To prevent seizures, it is recommended to use natural sedative medications to prevent nerve strain.

Diet for angina pectoris

Correction of the diet is based on the following rules:

  1. Refuse from the consumption of saturated fats, cholesterol.
  2. Increase the number of fresh vegetables, berries and fruits, eaten per day.
  3. Limitation of the volume of salt, alcoholic beverages, coffee, high-grade flour products in the diet.

These recommendations help cleanse the vessels from cholesterol plaques and widen the lumen of the arteries.
