Anorexia nervosa

The modern cinema and fashion industry is imposing its own tastes on the female figure. You see, unnaturally thin girls look great on the screen, and they are comfortable to sew on - no extra darts are needed, feminine curves are missing. It's all clear, it's unclear just why a huge number of girls are trying to get closer to such unhealthy standards. And they are really, unhealthy, some fashion designers have already realized this and began to abandon the services of too thin models. But this measure was late, the anorexia nervosa swept the world, and many girls try to lose weight, considering everything superfluous, except for the skeleton covered with skin.

How to treat anorexia nervosa?

Most girls suffering from this disease can not realize that they have a lack of weight. Even thin people weighing less than 40 kg can consider themselves fat. It is almost impossible to change their minds because, due to lack of nutrition, the brain loses its ability to rational thinking. Therefore, the treatment of anorexia nervosa - it is not an easy task and it is possible to cope with it alone at the initial stage, and that is not always the case. All other cases require specialist intervention. Treatment is usually done on an outpatient basis, but in severe cases the patient is left in the hospital with increased caloric intake, and with a categorical refusal of food, the food is administered intravenously.

Anorexia is a neuropsychic disease, and therefore, during its treatment, the competent work of a psychologist is required, the task of which will be the destruction of stereotypes of thinking and behavior peculiar to this disorder.
