Autumn leaves are very beautiful, but, unfortunately, short-lived - easily crumbles and break. To decorate the house you can make bright leaves of felt that will last a long time.
How to make autumn leaves of felt with your hands
For the production of autumn leaves we will need:
- felt red, yellow, orange, green and brown colors;
- threads of yellow and orange flowers;
- scissors;
- paper and pencil.
The order of making autumn leaves
- First we make a pattern of future autumn leaves from felt. Draw a maple leaf on paper and cut it out.
- Put the paper sheet on the yellow felt and circle it. Then put the paper sheet on the orange felt and circle, increasing about 0.5 cm. Cut out both sheets of felt.
- Put a yellow detail on the orange part of the sheet and sew them in the center with orange threads, forming a central vein.
- Now we sew the side veins, piercing both sheets through and through.
- Now let's make a red-orange leaf of a simple form. It resembles a leaf of a pear tree. Cut out a piece of paper.
- Now we will redraw the contours of the sheet to red felt, and on the orange felt we will redraw it, slightly increasing it. Cut out these two details of the sheet of felt.
- Put the red part of the sheet on the orange part and sew in the middle of the central vein with orange threads.
- The same thread embroider the side veins.
- Make a pattern of oak leaf, cutting it out of paper.
- We will transfer the pattern first to green felt, and then to brown, increasing by 0.5 cm. We cut out both parts of the sheet from the felt.
- We put the green part of the leaf on the brown part and we sew in the middle of the central vein with yellow threads, sewing both parts of the sheet through and through.
- It remains to embroider the side veins on the sheet.
Autumn leaves are ready. Of these, you can collect a garland and hang on the wall or near the window, or you can simply lay the leaves on a coffee table or bedside table.
