The design of the room seems incomplete, if it did not place accents and decorative elements. As such decorations I often use pictures, wall panels, family photos or art shots. Today it has become fashionable to inherit the western styles of decorating apartments and houses, and black and white interior paintings are gaining popularity.
Black and white pictures for the interior: choose competently
The combination of two contrasting colors has always been considered a classic and was actively used to create a variety of designs. At first glance it may seem that this is too radical a choice and it stands out strongly against the general background.
In fact, it turns out that this is the choice that solves a lot of problems that arise when choosing a home decor:
- for saturated complex designs, this option is most successful, since you do not have to select shades and texture for the environment;
- black and white paintings for the interior are rather laconic and the fashionable minimalist trends are fully reflected in them;
- with a competent selection of images, you can safely hang such beauty in any room of your house.
If it is a question of a bedroom, images in style "nju", gentle sketches of city landscapes or contour images will perfectly approach. The lighter the interior, the more white should be on the canvas.
For a study or a living room, it is permissible to use more saturated and dark images. So that they do not stand out too much, use white frames and a mat, this will give a stylish touch. Also very beautifully looks the tandem of the picture in the picture and some other elements of the decor: cushions, vases.
As for the nature of the image, everything here depends on the room. For the living room or hallway, an abstraction, plant ornaments, portraits or cityscapes are usually chosen. In the kitchen, it will be better to look at the relevant topics: drawings with cutlery or plates in a modern style, fruit or logos of famous brands. The only requirement is that the image should not spoil the appetite.
Pictures in a black and white interior
To choose a decor for such an interior is much more difficult. The fact is that saturated contrasting colors set the dynamics and harmoniously fit images into it is not so simple. As a rule, two main methods are used: dark wallpaper and light "stuffing", or on the contrary a light background with contrasting furniture.
In the first case, pictures for a black and white interior are harder to pick up, since the walls themselves are already in some way pictures. In this situation, it is best to use a combination of several types of wallpaper. You can cover with mottled dark wallpaper only one wall, the rest leave neutral monophonic. Then boldly hang on the light background of the image in black frames. Often they repeat the pattern on the contrast wall.
If you have a basic color white, then the field for experiments is much broader. For a picture in a black and white interior, you can pick up not only a black, but also a dark gray frame. To ensure that this design does not resemble an office, it is filled with colored accents. They can also be duplicated in the image. For example, you "diluted" the main background with warmer beige or golden hues. Then the baguette can also be picked up with gilding, and the image itself is not on white, but a creamy background.
Pictures for the black and white interior, as a rule, are made in a modern style. Most often use images of animal skins, abstraction or family portraits. In this case, it is not absolutely necessary that the images are executed in black and white. Add some color and the room will become softer and warmer. This technique will preserve the features of the style, but smooth out too noticeable a contrast.
