Ragdoll breeds of cats are often also called "pusikat" for its complaisant and kind character, as well as for the desire to always be close to the owner. The very name regdoll means in translation "rag doll". This name was given to the cat because during sleep it can be easily turned over and placed in unusual poses. The cat will easily continue to sleep in either of them.
Appearance of the breed
Regdolls are rather large and strong cats with well developed musculature of the body. By standard, fat deposits are allowed only in the abdomen of the cat. This breed has a large enough round head with well-developed cheeks and large round eyes of blue or other color. The ears of such cats are large, slightly inclined forward. Sometimes they can have brushes. The body is strong and well developed. Paws of medium length with brushes between the toes. The tail is long and fluffy. The average weight of an adult cat of the ruggoll breed reaches 5-6 kg, cats can be slightly larger than cats. Complete ripening of the animal reaches the age of 3 years.
There are three standard colorings of the cat of the ruggoll breed: color-point (the points are darker: the mask on the muzzle, paws, ears and tail), mitted (color with a low degree of white spotting), and bicolor (two-tone color).
Especially worth mentioning the quality of wool regdollov. It is long, soft and silky, and therefore requires special care .
Character of the cat reggall
Cats of this breed are very much appreciated for their character. They are kind, obedient, not noisy. In this case, they adore their owners. They can sit for hours on their knees, purr, or doze. Everywhere follow their masters. This is a great option for a cat for a house, where there are small children: cats regdoll never bite or scratch the child. Regdoll is a great example of a companion cat. She never loudly meows, if she needs something, then the cat will show it delicately. Such cats perfectly get on with other animals in the house, including with other cats. They are absolutely not conflict. But they should pay a lot of attention.
