Every cat owner, sooner or later, faces the need to move the animal outside the house. Some every day walk their pets and the harness in this case is very useful.
How to make a harness by yourself?
It is clear that you can always get ready at the pet store, but it's much nicer to put on your pet an exclusive thing made by yourself. Here's what we need to make a harness for ourselves:
- a cut of the raincoat (1);
- a length of fleece (2);
- an elastic band (3);
- belt tape (4), ribbon (5), ribbon for decor (6);
- the lock with a carbine (7, 8) and details for fixing the harness (9, 8, 7);
- decorative elements (11, 12,);
- Roulette (13).
Now consider the process of sewing a harness for cats with their own hands.
- Draw a sketch of the article on the notebook. You can take it ready and resize it to a pattern.
- We transfer from the sheet of paper a pattern on the raincoat and fleece.
- On the plaschevke mark the location of the braid.
- We put it on. Across the spine of the animal we attach one more piece of braid and insert a ring into the eyelet. This part is necessary for fastening the leash to the harness.
- Now make the neck for the harness with your own hands. From the raincoat we cut out the workpiece and sew it with an elastic band, attaching the fabric. You can decorate with the same braid.
- We fix the neck to the base. The edges are processed by a bend. When making the first check that the rubber band is too tight against the animal's throat.

- Next, we collect the parts of the belt fastening. Belt tapes are inserted inside the base and we process the edges: we fold them inwards and spread them out. First you need to put the product on your pet and adjust the length of the belt.

- Now make the lower part of the harness for the cat with your own hands. It is something like a frill. We will fasten it to the sewing buttons.
- The upper part of the skirt repeats the contours of the harness.
- After the base is ready, you can decorate the product with bows, pebbles and rhinestones. On the edge we add decorative ribbon and braid. We sew the harness with a bow and rhinestones.
- In the end, we put on a harness on the pet and attach a leash to the ring.
