Physiological reasons why colitis breast
The sensation of tingling in the chest in the vast majority of cases is due to physiological causes, such as:
- premenstrual syndrome. As the next menstrual period approaches, the glandular tissue grows under the influence of a change in the hormonal background, as a result of which the nerve endings can be jammed;
- third trimester of pregnancy. During this period the organism of the expectant mother is intensively preparing for the forthcoming lactation, as a result of which the mammary glands enlarge and give the woman expressed discomfort;
- the period of breastfeeding. Most often, it is lactation that explains why the breasts of the colitis are like needles, since such sensations arise during milk tides.
Pathological causes of tingling in the chest
If a woman has colitis in her left or right breast, this can be caused by various diseases of the mammary glands. That is why such feelings, which do not pass for a long time, should become an occasion to call a doctor and undergo a detailed examination. In particular, stabbing pain in the mammary glands can be caused by such reasons as:
- mastopathy, or mastitis associated with stagnation of milk in the breast of a nursing mother. In this case, most often pain sensations are observed only in one of the glands;
- benign or malignant neoplasms;
- Cystic formations in most cases do not cause pain. Meanwhile, if the neoplasm is large enough and presses on the nerve, there may be stitching pain. A similar situation is observed when the cyst is ruptured;
- thyroid disorders;
- diseases of the cardiovascular system, for example, ischemia, myocardial infarction or angina pectoris can cause why the patient has colitis under the left breast;
- Finally, with degenerative changes in the spine or intercostal neuralgia, there may also be a feeling that the colitis is under the right or left breast.
Since a tingling in the chest can indicate serious abnormalities in the work of the female body, it can not be ignored. In case the girl can not independently determine the cause of the pain and is worried, if everything is in order, she should immediately consult a doctor.
