Concert hall

The capital of Denmark pleases the eye not only with medieval architecture, but also with original modern projects of buildings. At the same time they are very harmoniously fit into the general view of the city, giving it exceptional, unforgettable features. I saw the "violet parallelepiped" of the Concert Hall - and you immediately understand that you are in Copenhagen . Moreover - what has been seen is guaranteed to bring a lot of impressions, because it's Denmark, there's nothing "just like that."

What is the attraction of the Copenhagen Concert Hall?

The first thing that catches your eye is the unusual shape of the building. Designed by Jean Nouvel, an architect known for his original and unusual ideas. The building has the shape of a cube, on the outside covered with a translucent blue-violet cloth, behind which the outlines of the stage box and the foyer are guessed. In the interior decoration of the hall, there are intentions of likening it to a city square, and the surrounding studio rooms are represented by certain "buildings".

The concert hall of Copenhagen contains four studios, each of which carries something special. For example, in the hall number 1 above the heads of the spectators as if a certain sculpture rises, and it is decorated in bright ohristy tones. Capacity is about 1800 people. Studio number 2 is a diamond-shaped form, and its walls are decorated with portraits of famous music figures. This gives some kind of resemblance to the recording studio, the number of seats for spectators is about 500. Room number 3 is designed for 200 people and is intended for piano music. This affected its design - black and white tones make it similar to a musical instrument. In contrast to such a strict monochrome, the last studio is decorated in scarlet tones, and its main purpose is modern music concerts. It is relatively small and is designed for 200 spectators.

The Copenhagen Concert Hall is the most expensive building of its kind in the world. In the afternoon, it almost does not catch sight, but at night it gathers around itself crowds of tourists and local residents. On the screen of blue cloth, various video clips, panoramas of the city or just clippings from the films are projected here. Today, the Copenhagen Concert Hall is the General Headquarters of the media holding DR. It was opened in 2009 by Queen Margrethe II. It was a grandiose gala concert, which for a long time was remembered for the honorable guests of this event.
