France
The emergence of the women's movement for liberation from oppression, any dependence and restrictions originates in a distant and self-willed France. In 1830, at the height of the July Revolution, the very term "émancipation de la femme" appeared. During the development of emancipation, special women's clubs were created, where the participants of the movement defended their rights in special printed organs. The leaders of the women's movement even offered women of their sex to wear men's suits in order to get rid of the external differences of the sexes. With a similar gesture, women in trousers finally brought the men into full indignation, which provoked the adoption of the decision to deprive women of the right to have their meetings. Soon, and women's clubs were closed. It would Seem, it was necessary to calm down the ardor, but the Frenchwomen decided to continue this unequal battle.
After women were given freedom and "the right to vote" they demanded a full equation of rights. In the future, it can be assumed that emancipation gives birth to such a notion as "feminism". Russia
Somewhat later, the movement for freedom and women's rights honored Russia with its presence. The revolution of 1917 was the biggest event for the emancipation of Russian women. The experience of the Bolshevik struggle shows an effective example of overcoming the oppression of representatives of the "weak" sex. The industrial development of society radically changed the views on the family and the consciousness of Russian women.
The old family economic model was based, first of all, on the production of benefits for family consumption. Ladies spent their lives within the house. The only society with which they had to communicate was a family. However, in the future, the machine industry completely destroys individual domestic production, thus forcing women to seek work outside the home. Here they begin to realize and feel the whole degree of oppression, which was not felt in the family. The truth is revealed about the existence of a smaller list of rights than men. All this makes them strive to protect their interests. It should be noted, they succeeded.
Let's sum up the results
The consequences of emancipation are both positive and negative. Let's find out whether we "won" or "lost" in this battle. Let's start with a good one:
- the woman ceased to be a "thing", which the husband could dispose of at his discretion;
- now we are entitled to receive higher education;
- we are allowed to have our own opinion and the right to vote;
- the beautiful half of humanity has the right to have a job;
- there is an opportunity to achieve a certain social status.
Now about the sad:
- men found that women won not their right but their duty to work, and therefore they decided to step back from responsibility and obligations;
- The won freedom and power of the representatives of the beautiful half of humanity provoked the weakness of the opposite sex;
- the complexity of the relationship between a man and a woman as a result of a violation of the principle of complementarity;
- hard work safely fell on the "fragile" shoulders. And they pull the logs, and pull the sleepers;
- women became victims of prostitution, drug addiction, alcoholism, and the number of abortions increased.
