Requirements for tapeworm
The name "tapeworm" came from the French language, its roots go to the words "solitary", "solitary" and quite understandably explain the peculiarity of this flower garden. Since the plant of the tapeworm is not complemented by other colors, it is called to be soloed, and therefore must be distinguished by certain characteristics - uniqueness, visibility, attractiveness. An obligatory requirement for a solitaire is the expressiveness of its silhouette. In most cases, solitaires are tall, large plants, but a relatively low bush can also act as a tapeworm, if it is exotic enough and stands out against the background of a flat lawn. Decorative tapeworm can be both a flowering and deciduous plant, the main thing is that its spectacular appearance is manifested as long as possible from spring to autumn. In addition to the silhouette, it is important that its leaves, inflorescences, fruits are distinguished by its picturesqueness.
Place for tapeworm planting
At first glance it may seem that there is nothing difficult in planting a tapeworm on the site, because one thing is a complex composition in a flower bed with competently picked plants, and another thing is a lonely bush or a tree. But this is the paradox and complexity. If you do not take into account some rules in a great composition, then no one will notice it, and if you plant a tapeworm not according to the rules, then it will either get lost on the general background or it will look ridiculous. - Tapeworms are designed to diversify a large characterless space, so the ideal place to plant will be a spacious lawn.
- You can arrange tapestries in "iconic" places, for example, at the entrance to the house, at the turn of the garden path or on the recreation area.
- The background of the tapeworm should choose a well-groomed calm area so that a single plant is not lost. Suitable well-formed shrubs or a neat lawn.
- It is important to remove the tapeworm from other plantings and from the viewpoint. It is believed that the optimal distance from which the solitair is visually perceived is two or three heights of the plant itself.
- If the plant has small leaves and intricate colors of dark color, then it is planted at a point close to the place of view, if the species is distinguished by large foliage and noticeable large picturesque flowers, then it can be deepened, this will not reduce the accent.
Suitable for the role of tapeworm plants

These herbs have a completely decorative appearance, grow well and have an original form and color of leaves and flowers. Of the bushes will look great: decorative and deciduous - hawthorn, barberry, boxwood; flowering - lilac, spiraea, hydrangea, phytolacus; conifers - juniper, thuja, cypress. Trees can be fruit trees - plums, cherries, apple trees. Other common trees planted as solitaires are oaks, globular maples, silvery spruce, horse chestnuts. Naturally, the scale of the tapeworm depends primarily on the area of the site, the larger it is, the more organic trees in it will become more coexistent, and vice versa, a small territory is not an excuse to abandon a tapeworm, especially since the choice of herbaceous expressive plants is quite large.
