How to make a flower out of the skin?

To make flowers from the skin, we need the following:

• a piece of paper for patterns;
• scraps of skin, in our case black;
• safety pin;
• glue "Moment";
• PVA glue;
• scissors;
• candle;
• ruler;
• tweezers.

If you do not have shreds of natural leather, the artificial color is quite suitable for making flowers.

Technology of making flowers from the skin

1. First, cut out the blanks of the petals from the paper. The paper can take any density, the usual office will do. We make 4 sizes of blanks for petals. Dimensions of blanks are determined from the desired size of the flower, or from the calculation of shreds of the skin.
2. Then we transfer the blanks to the skin and cut out the petals. We need six petals of each size.
3. Now let's start working on the petals. For this we need a standard ruler, preferably plastic and transparent, and the glue "Moment". Take the first petal and divide it in half, mark the line dividing the bend or a simple ballpoint pen.
4. Then take a tube of glue, drop it on a match and apply a thin strip along the center line.
5. Now bend the petal in half, put the ruler on top, covering the petal by 1.5 - 2 mm. We are guided by the picture.
6. Keep the work in this position for several minutes, letting the glue stick. After that, we remove the ruler, we cut the petal. It turns out that this form.
7. To give it a beautiful shape, we put it on a flat horizontal surface, again we cover it with a ruler, but from above, we make sure that the bend does not get unstuck. Then we put the load on the ruler and leave it for a while, letting the work dry.
8. The same actions are done absolutely with all the petals of the flower from the skin. Let's pay attention to the fact that in smaller petals the bend should be made smaller.
9. Next, take a scrap of skin for the middle of the flower, select the six largest petals and spread them around in a circle on the flap. Let's make a note about the size of the circle we need to cut.
10. Now boldly cut out the circle - this will be the core of our exclusive flower of leather.
11. Finally, we have prepared all the blanks, we will deal with the processing of the petals. Take each petal and lubricate it with a thin layer of PVA glue. This is a necessary moment, without this we will not succeed in melting the petals over the candles well.
12. When all the petals are smeared with glue, we proceed to their melting. We take the first petal, tightly clamp it with tweezers, light a candle and hold the petal over the flame, until the edges are melted. It is important not to overexert - the deformation should be easy.
13. We hold above the flame first one half of the petal, then the other. The ends should bend, and the petal itself - get a convex shape.
14. The same is done with all the petals of our future flower.
15. Next, take the glue "Moment" and begin to glue in a circle the petals on the cut out center of the flower. We begin to glue from the bottom row - the largest. We make sure that the intervals between the petals are the same.
16. So one by one we glue all the petals. Actually our exclusive flower from the skin is ready, it remains to make it an ornament and a little to transform.
17. The most versatile piece of jewelry is a brooch, so we'll make the clasp of our flower underneath. Cut out a circle of leather and a small rectangle.
