  1. Prepare a balloon of the right size. It is important that it is dense and rounded.
  2. Inflate it and tie a tail.
  3. Place the ball on the stand so that it does not roll during operation. As a stand, you can use any dish of a suitable size.
  4. Typically, making a globe of paper is best, using papier-mache. But you can simplify the task a little by using ordinary newspaper sheets. Prepare the material by cutting the newspaper into narrow strips.
  5. Then dip the brush into the pva (paste) and glue strips on it, wrapping the ball around its entire area. Try to keep the newspapers flat, without bumps. Wrap the ball in several layers.
  6. Thus, glue the whole ball completely, leaving only his tail on the outside. Give the workpiece for the globe to dry properly - and after a day you will have a solid round ball of papier-mache. The tail can then be trimmed.
  7. Now we need to draw the contours of the continents. The schoolboy will be able to cope with this task independently, and younger children will need help. To correctly apply lines, it is better to use a round globe for the sample, rather than a flat map.
  8. First, mark the lines with a simple pencil, and then point with the black marker.
  9. Color the globe with paints, and it is better to use opaque gouache for this. Since the physical map of the world will be represented on the hand-craft, mark the plain of the continents in green.
  10. Brown color, as is known, symbolizes mountain peaks.
  11. Blue shade on the globe we will designate the seas and oceans. Mix the paint of various shades, from blue to dark blue, to show the different depths of water bodies.
