Grippferon is an antiviral, immunomodulating medication. It is used for various forms of influenza, acute respiratory infections and common cold. It is also recommended for seasonal prevention and during epidemic periods, suitable for emergency prevention (close, regular contact with patients). Grippferon composition
The medication is based on interferon (a protein in the human body that fights viruses) and its stabilizing solvents.
Grippferon dosage
- children from birth to a year, one drop in each nasal passage up to five times a day;
- from one to three years, two drops four times a day;
- from three to fourteen years - two drops five times a day;
- adults and children over fourteen years - three drops six times a day
- Pregnant women and lactating mothers should be administered according to the age-appropriate dosage;
- for emergency prevention, a standard dose is administered twice a day;
- in the period of epidemics, a single dose according to age once a day is better in the morning.
It is recommended that massage movements massage your nostrils for about a minute for better distribution of the medicine.
Grippferon - contraindications
Individual allergy to influenza (its components) is possible. If rashes or other unusual reactions are seen, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor.
Grippferon for newborns
There are two forms of release of influenza for infants:
- Grippferon drops for children.
- Grippferon candles for children.
Drops are applied according to the age-related dosage and the purpose of the treatment (prevention, immunity, antiviral or antimicrobial therapy).
- Candles for children from birth to the year are introduced one at a time, twice a day, every twelve hours, a course of treatment of at least five days.
- Children older than one year - three candles per day, every eight hours.
