Any fabric can be used for sewing a bag, you can even use old jeans. In this case, we took "cheerful" material with turtles and prepared the following details:
- Two identical rectangles measuring 20 by 24 cm, glued with bulk fliselin.
- Two rectangles of the same size for the lining.
- A strip of fabric for the strap, measuring 7 by 110 cm, and shorter - 7 by 10 cm, also glued with fleece.
- For the valve, two rectangles of 17 by 20 cm, one of which should also be laid with a bulk non-woven cloth.
- A large inner pocket is a rectangle measuring 20 by 17 cm.
- A small inner pocket is a rectangle measuring 20 by 13 cm.
Also need: a magnetic button, a half ring and a carbine.
Then we sew the bag over the shoulder:
- At the details for the pockets we turn on the wrong side the upper cut first by 0.5, and then another 1 cm. We fold the fold and spread it out. For a small pocket, you also need to turn the bottom edge.
- We put a small pocket with the wrong side on the front side - a large one, we spread along the bottom edge at a distance of 0.5 cm. Also we sew the pocket in the center to divide it into two parts. On each side we fasten the pockets to each other with suturing stitches.
- Pockets with the wrong side are applied to the front side of one of the parts of the lining. We fasten along the sides with intaglio sutures. At this stage, we attach other parts to the pockets, if they are provided, for example, Velcro.
- We fold the valve parts face to face. And we sew on three sides. Turn out and lay another stitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge. Sew a magnet or button.
- The detail for the long strap folds face inwards and stitch. Then turn and stitch around the edges. Repeat the same steps with a short one.
- Two parts of the lining, on one of which the pockets are swept, folded to each other with faces and sewed on three sides. We leave the incision for eversion.
- We form the bottom. To do this, fold the bottom of the bag like in the photo corner, so that the bottom and side seams are visible. From the edge we retreat approximately 2.5 cm along the side seam, draw a straight line and spread it along it.
- Cut off the corner, leaving an allowance of 1 cm.
- Repeat steps 7 and 8 for the other corner. We do not turn out the lining.
- The main parts of the bag are folded facing each other, we rub on three sides and repeat the above-described actions with both corners. We turn out the bag.
- We collect the bag: the valve is applied externally to the back wall of the bag, at the top we put a marking seam. We take the long strap to one of the side seams, fold it in half and take it to the other side seam.
- Lay the lining on the bag face to face, knock off the top and stitch on the sides and bottom.
- Unscrew the bag through the hole left in the lining, iron and stitch the bag in a circle.
- Wrap the free edge of the long strap around the carabiner, adjust the length and stitch it from both sides.
- Lower the valve, mark the spot and sew the second part of the magnetic button. The hole in the lining, designed for turning, is sewn with a hidden seam.
- The bag is ready.
