How to sew a patchwork cushion?

To begin with, consider the simplest version of a pillow in the style of patchwork - a pillow of round shape, sewn from multi-colored flap-sectors.

1. We begin sewing from the manufacture of a stencil - an isosceles triangle with sides of 15 and 7 cm.
2. With the help of the stencil we cut out 28 patchwork sectors - 14 pieces on each side of the pillow.
3. Sew the sectors manually or with the help of a sewing machine and get two halves of our pillow.
4. Sew the two halves of the cushion, leaving a small hole for packing. We turn the pillow out and stuff it with sintepon.

How to sew a patchwork of old jeans?

Now consider a more complicated version of the cushion, made in the technique of patchwork sewing. We will sew it from old jeans, which are now pretty much practically in any house. Of course, the manufacture of such a pillow will have to tinker, but the result is worth it.

1. For work, let's take a few jeans of different colors, preferably contrasting ones. We cut them into strips of the same width. For a pillow sized 36 * 36 cm, the strips should be 4 * 67 cm in size, and the total strip should be 22.
2. We sew 11 jeans strips between each other, shifting each subsequent one by 3 cm.
3. Using a triangle or a cardboard template, let's outline the diagonal line at the 45 ° angle on the wrong side of the sewn preform.
4. We will outline the entire workpiece with diagonal lines with a step of 4 cm.
5. Repeating steps 1-4, we sew the second workpiece, placing on it the stripes in the mirror sequence. Strips must be placed in the mirror image, otherwise the pattern of the "Christmas tree" will not work.
6. We combine the stripes from the blanks in pairs, and connect the pairs to the common cloth. As a result, we get this "herringbone".

How to sew a children's patchwork cushion?

Now let's start making pillows in patchwork style for kids. To the child with pleasure and without tears fall asleep in his crib, we will place there a charming pillow-little girl.

1. As before, we will begin sewing a pillow from making a pattern. To do this, we will draw a half of our hamstick on the A4 sheet, stick the second sheet and cut it out.
2. For the bottom of the pillow, we cut out the oval from the dense fabric. For strength and reliability, glue the bottom of the glued fleece.
3. We cut out the details of the cloth from the cloth: the bottom and the base with allowances for the seams, and the remaining parts - without allowances. We will illustrate details on a basis, we will note with the help of the removable marker of the eye.
4. We sew a zigzag line of the eye with eyelashes.
5. Prikolim muzzle with the eyes to the main part and zigzag stitched.

8. We'll fill the pillow and sew a padded hole with a secret seam.
