However, the World Balalaika Day is celebrated far beyond the borders of the country, as there is no such three-stringed line in any part of the world.

The date of the International Balalaika Day coincides with the first mention of this instrument in history. For the first time, the World Balalaika Day was celebrated in 2008. Currently, this date is not just celebrated in music schools and other educational institutions. In Crimea, for example, since 2010, organize events dedicated to the Day of the Balalaika. This is a real festival of folk music, which lasts about a week.
