Pareo own hands

Beach fashion provides for a practical accessory such as pareo . Thanks to this simple thing, which is a rectangular cut of fabric, girls can not only protect their delicate skin from the scorching sun, but also emphasize their taste. It would seem that it can be difficult to sew pareos for the beach with your own hands, because the pattern (even if it exists) is quite primitive. Indeed, it is enough to measure the necessary length and width of a large kerchief and, if necessary, to process the edges with an ordinary stitch. But in this master class we will tell you how to sew a pareo for the beach with your own hands and make a thing-transformer from the usual cut of fabric.

We will need:

  1. The first thing to do is determine the size of the pareo. If you want to use it not only as a loincloth, then it's better to focus on the dimensions of about 1.7 x 1.5 meters. If necessary, wrinkle the folds. Then, treat the top and bottom sections if the fabric is crumbling.
  2. The width slices should be processed as follows. Fold the fabric by 0.5-1 centimeter and start the stitch so that there remains a kulisk in which it will be possible to pass the elastic band.
  3. In both cymbals, use a safety pin to thread an elastic band.
  4. It remains on the ends of the rubber band to fix the decorative tips, and the stylish pareo is ready for use.

This pareo model is useful not only for you on the beach. Having put on this accessory, you can go straight from the quay to the nearest cafe or to the market for fresh fruit. So, pick up the fabric and cut out of it a rectangle measuring 1.8 x 1.4 meters. Then fold it in half and cut off the upper corners. From the same fabric weave two pigtails about 25-30 centimeters in length. Sew them to the corners of the pareo. Cut one side of the rectangle by a scythe.

You will get such a pareo, but you still need to cut the top edge of the product, so that it would fit better in the figure.

Depending on the type of fabric that you choose for sewing beach pareos, you will have a stylish thing that you can wear not only with a swimsuit, but also as a dress or a tunic.

And the simplest variant of a beach pareo is a short loin pareo, which you can make in 10 minutes. Use a simple pattern, transfer it to the fabric, cut out the product and, if necessary, process the edges. Charming skirt ready!
