Potatoes eidaho at first glance may seem something very American, it is even difficult to imagine it on our table. But in fact, cooking the eidaho potatoes does not take you much time and energy, and the ingredients for cooking this dish do not have to be looked for in special stores. It is safe to say that the eidaho potatoes could well have become a "classic" dish for a bachelor or a very busy person. There are several recipes for preparing eidaho potatoes, but they are all designed for a minimum of time. In the classic recipe, Idaho Rasset is used, but it can be replaced with a native "rapanko".
How to Cook Eidaho Potatoes
So, I propose to make potato eidaho and make sure that this dish is from the category of "cheap and angry". For cooking, you will need:
- potatoes - 1 kg;
- vegetable oil;
- greens (fresh or dried);
- garlic with 3-4 cloves;
- mustard 4-5 tbsp. l .;
- ground pepper.
Before preparing the eideracho potatoes, the root vegetable should be thoroughly washed. You do not need to cut the skin. Next, cut it into slices: cut in half and then cut each half into 3 slices (approximately the way we usually cut an apple). We put the potatoes in boiling water so that the potatoes do not fall apart during the cooking process.
Now prepare the sauce: mix mustard and pepper, add garlic and greens. Greens for potatoes eidaho choose to your taste. Suitable rosemary, basil, common dill or parsley. You can take both fresh and dried herbs.
Well we rub potatoes with our sauce and send them to the oven for 20-25 minutes, pre-lubricating the pan with oil.
An alternative recipe for cooking eidaho.
There is another recipe for cooking this dish. We need:
- potatoes 9 pcs .;
- olive (corn) oil;
- garlic with 2-3 cloves;
- sauce is sharp (any of the package);
- salt pepper.
Potatoes, as in the first recipe, cut into slices and boil. Cook potatoes after the water boils, you need no more than 3 minutes. Next, do a familiar procedure: mix the sauce with herbs and garlic and grease the slices of potatoes with this mixture. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
Tips for cooking potato eidaho:
- for a good result it is better to take potatoes with a thick and friable skin;
- The sauce can be made with mustard and spices, and you can choose it in the store ready;
- replace the sauce with a mixture of olive oil and garlic with spices;
- Serve potatoes better, sprinkling a little on top of the greens.
- if the potatoes boil a little more, then further cooking can be replaced simply by roasting in spices. Sauce in this case, it is better to cook separately and pour the prepared dish at the very end, before serving.
As a rule, the total preparation time of the eidaho potatoes does not take more than half an hour. The best addition to this potato is a well-seasoned steak.
