  1. First of all, we will have a tool for cutting paper for quilling. Be sure, scissors are absolutely not exactly an option for such a large number of cut pieces of paper. Of course, there are whole sets of strips, but sometimes for work masters use colored paper with different effects, and here it is necessary to work with a tool for cutting.
  2. Go ahead and go to the tool, which turns the strips into recognizable curls and tubes. There are two types of this device. One with a slot on the pin, the second without it. Depending on what curls are needed for quilling, choose tools. If it is a tool with a slot where the end of the strip is inserted, there will be a hole inside the curl. For a denser element without a hole, a pin without a slot is used inside.
  3. In many compositions fringe is used. Usually it is the formation of a flower. To cut this fringe it is possible and independently, but time will leave much enough. Professionals, constantly working in this technique, prefer a special machine that makes this process much easier and faster.
  4. Few people know what is called the quilling tool, which gives the effect of corrugation. This so-called paper crimper, and it is used not only in this technique of working with paper.
  5. Among the tools for quilling for beginners is very useful ruler with holes in the form of circles. So you can collect the composition from the elements of the same diameter. If desired, you can use a cork mat and pin to get the element with a center shifted.
  6. And of course, among your quilling tools there will be scissors, pins, tweezers and a mat for connecting the elements. It can be either cork or foam.
