Saftey Park Givskud


Givskud in Denmark is not for nothing that has the proud name of "safari park", because the name "primitive word" zoo "will not turn the language even among the most demanding people. It is known all over the world due to unique conditions of keeping animals, as close as possible to natural ones. There are no iron cages and deep ditches, and a variety of species of animals walk peacefully throughout the territory.

Safari Park Givskud is located in the city of Givet, half an hour's drive from the city of Billund . It was opened in 1969 and was originally called "Lion Park", since at that time there were only lions in it. But already in 1970 the park diversified the fauna presented to the family of elephants.

The final part of the car drive leads to the enclosure, where lions live. They are kept apart from other animals, but are also not burdened with cells. Therefore, on the territory of the enclosure, the zoo worker always travels on a small tractor, in order to provide any help in case of unforeseen situations. By the way, in the safari park Givskud the most numerous pride of Europe is represented. Of the 29 individuals originally submitted, it has grown to 40 representatives!

There are also opportunities for pedestrians. There are three pedestrian moorings where in a free manner one can get acquainted with some kinds of animals. They are allowed to feed and iron. It is worth considering that animal feed in the park area is not for sale, so it should be taken care of in advance.

It should be noted that the Givskud Safari Park is also a research institute. In it all conditions are created not only for family rest, but also for zoological disciplines. More than 30% of its inhabitants are listed in the Red Book.

As for food and rest, the Givskud Safari Park will be pleased with the presence of cafes, restaurants, entertainment corners and places where you can cook barbecue yourself. It is not forbidden to bring food and drinks with you. For children, many interesting attractions have been created, such as trampolines, playgrounds, dinosaur park.

Safari Park Givskud is part of Legoland Park in Billund . You can reach public transport by bus 119, 211 to Givskud station, Løveparkvej. The cost of admission varies from 170 to 100 CZK, children under two years of age have free admission.
