Inflammation of the ovaries carries the medical term oophoritis. Signs of ovarian inflammation
Symptoms of inflammation of the ovaries are usually pronounced and characterized by the following manifestations:
- The first sign of inflammation of the ovaries in women is the pain in the lower abdomen of the pulling character and pain during menstruation, giving to the lumbar region and the perineal region, which increase with the presence of other diseases in the body (acute respiratory disease, gastritis).
- Purulent, mucous discharge from the genital tract.
- Increased number of urges and soreness of urination.
- Increased body temperature, weakness, nausea, dizziness, flatulence, stool disorders.
- Reduced sexual desire, vaginismus , lack of orgasm.
With a prolonged course of inflammation, it is thrown onto the fallopian tubes. The signs of inflammation of the appendages and ovaries are similar. And when they appear, do not delay with diagnosis and treatment to prevent the flow of the disease into a chronic form or complications of varying severity.
Treatment of ovarian inflammation consists in antibiotic therapy, in advanced cases, removal of the ovary can be indicated, especially if the uterine tubes are involved in the inflammatory process. In any case, doctors try to achieve recovery by conservative methods, since the consequences of surgical intervention in this case are irreversible: infertility, the onset of premature menopause and other unpleasant complications that significantly worsen the quality of life.
