Ski Resort Krasia

The ski resort "Krasia" is located on the mountain of the same name, which belongs to the Velikoberezny district of the Transcarpathian region, Ukraine. Nearby are two settlements - the village of Vyshka and Kostrino. The place itself is known long ago due to the largest meteorite found in Europe. During the flight, it split into small debris, most of which woke up near the modern resort. The fall of the celestial body caused a significant resonance in the scientific community, to look at it came the English science fiction writer Jules Verne.

Description of the resort

Mount Krasia, belonging to the mountain system of the Carpathians , reaches a height of 1032 m. It was one of the first Ukrainian peaks on which to equip the ski slopes. And it is here that the country's longest ski track is located.

The place is remarkable in that even at the peak of the season there is not a large crowd of tourists. This is due, probably, only with insufficient "promotion", because the level of equipment of slopes and maintenance is not inferior to other Carpathian resorts. And if you add here the mild favorable weather conditions of Transcarpathia and Krasia, picturesque nature and colorful local population, it will be an ideal place for a measured family vacation. You can diversify winter holidays with interesting excursions to the thermal spring, to wooden churches of the XVIII century, unique marble caves and a tasting room of the local winery.

The season of winter entertainment lasts here from the very beginning of December to the beginning of April. With prolonged absence of precipitation, there is a possibility of artificial "snowing" of the trails.

Mountain-skiing tracks

All the ski tracks of "Krasia" will suit and will be completely suited to the taste both for beginners and experienced sportsmen. It is noteworthy that you can skate here both on the main, equipped, and off-piste descents. The width of the trails varies from 100 to 250 m. The longest route of the resort and the region as a whole stretched for 3400 m, and the difference in heights on it is 600 m.

For the convenience of skiers are equipped chairlifts and rope tows. The fixed cost of one upgrade is quite democratic, but if you plan to ride a lot, it is more profitable to buy a subscription for one day or for 100 rises.

Against the backdrop of the expensive and fussy resorts of the Carpathians, like Bukovel and Dragobrat , the Krasia trails are attracted by a beautiful snow cover, the edge of picturesque forests, and also leisurely skiers appreciating comfort and tranquility.

Where to stay?

The optimal option for the guests of the resort is accommodation in the village of Vyshka, where the housing options are presented in abundance. In general, boarding houses and hotels "Krasia" can be divided into price categories into three categories: economy, standard and luxury. But even at minimal prices, guests are guaranteed a sufficient level of comfort.

Particular attention should be paid to the private sector, represented by colorful log houses, equipped in national style, but with an obligatory sauna or sauna so that skiers can always get warm and relax after exhausting walks.

How to get to "Krasia"?

The resort is located 65 km from the regional center of Transcarpathia - Uzhgorod. You can get to the city by train, and from there you can change to a regular bus or a fixed-route Uzhgorod-Veliky Berezny bus, you should leave at the village of Vyshka. It is more convenient to get to the place by car. To do this, it is better to follow through Uzhgorod along the Kiev-Lvov-Chop highway, and then drive to Kostrino.
