To gain confidence and enlist the support of the higher forces for the entire time period, the talisman will help you. To have a talisman-symbol of the year in the house becomes familiar. The mascot can be anything: a photo, an embroidery, a magnet on the refrigerator, a miniature sculptural image. We suggest sewing a soft toy-horse with your own hands. You will need:
- rather dense fabric to your taste with non-friable edges (flannel, fleece, wool jersey, etc.);
- plastic filler (sintepon, holofayber, etc.);
- woolen knitting threads or decorative braid;
- 4 buttons in tone of fabric or contrasting color;
- paper format A4 for pattern building;
- a bit of cardboard;
- sewing machine;
- sewing accessories.
How to sew a soft toy-horse?
- Making a soft toy-horse begins with the construction of a pattern. First, we build a pattern of the horse on paper, then transfer it to the wrong side of the fabric, considering that each part of the toy consists of symmetrical parts.
- All the details are cut out, making allowances for the seam of 0.8 - 1.0 cm. We grind each part on the sewing machine, leaving small areas unclosed, in order to subsequently turn the parts to the front side. Turned out the details are filled with the prepared soft filler, when stuffing parts trying to level the surface. Not stitched parts of the parts are carefully sewn by hand in threads in the tone of the fabric, so that the seams are less noticeable.
- We are assembling our talisman-horse. We begin with the fastening of the feet. The product will look good if the sewing places are covered with decorative buttons.
- We begin to make a horse's tail and mane. Cut out a rectangle of cardboard (the width of the cardboard is equal to the length of the mane, the length - the size of the withers). We wrap the cardboard with threads. We cut the threads from one side. We make a line on the sewing machine in the middle directly on the cardboard, which at the end is removed.
- We sew the mane to the horse's withers by hand.
- At the end of the tail we knot the knot so that the tail has the shape of a tassel. Sew the tail to the trunk.
- We cut out and spend on the machine details-ears. To the animal's head, the ears are gently sewed by hand.
