With the help of microwave, the cooking time becomes much shorter, and therefore, there is no need to guard the fruits, saving from burning in the oven, drying will happen almost before your eyes.

In addition to the tomatoes themselves, we need salt, and in addition to it you can use any dried herbs and spices to your taste and discretion.

The washed fruits should be cut in half and remove the seeds from them. Peeled tomatoes generously sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper, and then lay out in a form intended for cooking in a microwave oven and set the device to maximum power. Dry fruits for 15 minutes, then drain excess liquid and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes, depending on the size. After a while, leave the tomatoes to cool completely, and then try or spread them over clean jars and fill them with olive oil to extend the shelf life.

The second method involves drying tomatoes at low power of the device. Fruits in this case it is better to choose less (cherry or "cream").

After rinsing the tomatoes, having dried and freeing the halves from the watery seeds, place them on a special grate, permissible for use in a microwave oven, and put the grid itself on top of any deep container into which excess water will flow. Set the minimum power or select the "Defrost" mode. After 45 minutes, the tomatoes will be ready. Thanks to the two previous recipes, we managed to prove that it's possible to dry tomatoes in a microwave oven, moreover, the process is faster and more convenient than in the oven or, even more so, in the sun. We will devote this recipe to the technology of tomato chips - the same dried tomatoes, which are cut into rings before drying and, as a result, turn into sweet and crispy slices, which are pleasant snack on occasion.

Before you make sun-dried tomatoes in the microwave, take a couple of large fruits and, chopping them, season with salt. Allow the slices to stand for about 15 minutes, then transfer them to paper towels to absorb a maximum of moisture. Season again, leave for another 5 minutes, and blot again with towels. Spread the tomatoes on a plate in one layer, and then put the jam on the maximum power for 5 minutes. Turn the pieces over and cook for a minute, then allow them to cool completely on the grate.
