The Museum "EKTEL in 1947-1948" is located in Tel-Aviv and is dedicated to the underground organization of the same name, whose activities led to the proclamation of the State of Israel . The museum exposition consists of a set of mock-ups, documents, original attributes of the organization and all that tells about the rich events of that time.

Description

The official name of the museum bears the name of one of the chief officers of the headquarters of the EKCEL Amichai Faglin, despite this the museum is better known as the "EKZEL". In the description of the exhibits you can see that the organization is also called the Irgun. This is the first word of the official name, and EKZEL is an abbreviation of the full name.

Since 1922, Great Britain received a mandate to manage the territory of modern Israel, Palestine. In this regard, the Jews began to actively return to their homeland, crowding the Arabs who got accustomed there. Britain began to tightly control migrants, which was completely unsuited to the Jews. In the thirties, underground organizations began to form actively, which fought hard against the British and Arabs, although the latter were also dissatisfied with the British.

Among these organizations was Irgun, which began operating since 1931. The organization was so active and selfless that today it is considered the core of the insurgency.

What is interesting about the museum?

The Museum of EKZEL is primarily interesting events, which he describes in such detail. The permanent exhibition is located on two floors. It covers the events that took place at the final stage of the organization's existence - from November 29, 1947 to June 1, 1948. Immediately after Israel was proclaimed a state, ETSEL has ceased to exist.

In order for visitors to more accurately imagine how the underground participants went to their dreams in the museum, several dozen layouts are presented, which most accurately repeat the key scenes of the life and struggle of the organization.
