"Love for the motherland begins with the family" - these words, once said by the philosopher Francis Bacon, clearly show what a great role the family plays in the process of becoming in society. If we take into account that man is a social being in himself, it is not difficult to guess that it is the family, as the smallest unit of society, that is the basis for further relations with the whole system.
However, the role of the family in socialization, which, as is known, is a long process in life, can not be overestimated. It is the family that is our first society. In it, we spend the first years, during which life values and priorities are laid down, and norms of social behavior are formed. The first three years of becoming a person, as a person, is surrounded by family. And it is the roles of family members that are the main starting point for the socialization of a person, where the "first violin" is played by parents, as well as those who have subconsciously assumed this role. So, for example, in some dysfunctional families, children receive great care from other family members (sisters, brothers, grandparents). From what kind of relationships have developed in our family, our further demands on the world and the future often depend. Moreover, the influence of the family is in all cases, whether positive or negative.
The role of family in the life of modern man
The main trend that can be observed today, and which is a side effect of the technological revolution and the speeding up of the pace of life, is the detachment of the family from upbringing, as such. Busy parents give children early into the hands of nannies, kindergarten teachers, into the world of computer games, tablets and telephones. A child spends his leisure not with his parents or friends in the yard, his planet is plunged into a world of loneliness and virtual reality. Despite this, even the "hole" in communication is formed into certain norms of social behavior for each person. In addition, the researchers talk about a gradual change in the model of the modern family, and therefore, of society as a whole.
Traditional values are gradually giving way to new ones. The increase in the number of divorces and the low birth rate on the background of increased births outside of marriage, that is, the initial entry of a child into the incomplete cell of their first society - all play a role. Despite this, the tactics of family upbringing of the tactics of family education remain almost unchanged:
- the first is dictate, when adults suppress the desires of children, circumcising any, in their opinion, deviations of the child from their views, like the gardener of a branch, forming his personality in his own way;
- the second type can be described as cooperation. This is a joint development, activity and pastime. In this case, the role of the family in the life of a small person can be called the most healthy and correct;
- guardianship. Children, grown under hyperopic conditions, we usually call "hothouse". Parents try to protect their child from the realities of the world, which is considered hostile. In this case, the child develops an idealized attitude toward the world, and he becomes absolutely helpless,
or there is a desire to plunge into all that "filth", from which his parents guarded him. As a protest; - tactics of non-interference. Parents do not interfere in the problems of the child, believing that such an approach will give him independence and teach him to orientate himself in adulthood.
Whichever parenting style parents choose for their child, they should remember that the child comes to this world, in order to teach us, to show our internal problems, reflecting them as a mirror. Therefore, it must be remembered that the further life of the child in society depends on the climate in your family.
