The social needs of man

Biological and social needs, one might say, are the basis of human life, as their satisfaction leads to active action. The first include the primary needs of man, that is, in food, clothing, housing, etc. Social needs arise in the process of transformation of the environment and itself. Despite this, they still have a certain biological basis. During a person's life, his social needs may vary, which depend on various factors.

What are social needs?

No matter how people say that they can easily live alone and not experience any discomfort at the same time, this is not true. The fact that a person needs communication was proved by conducting an experiment. It was attended by several people who were placed in comfortable conditions, but they were protected from any communication. After a while, the dissatisfaction of basic social needs led to the fact that the subjects began to have serious emotional problems. It was from here that experts came to the conclusion that communication is necessary for people, like air and food.

The social needs of a person are divided into two groups: the need to have status and the need for peace of mind. It is proved that in any social group it is important to feel its usefulness and significance, therefore the status plays a big role in life. It is influenced, as uncontrollable factors, for example, age and sex, and controlled - education, personal qualities, etc. To achieve social status in this or that area, professional competence is necessary. It is this that pushes people to active action and development. In order to become the best in the chosen activity, one must master the existing subtleties.

Many people, trying to substitute concepts, choose an easier way, preferring different status items that can be achieved dishonestly. Such glory eventually bursts like a bubble and a person simply remains with nothing. Hence, such concepts as "loser" and "nothingness" arise. It is worth noting another important fact - socio-economic progress directly affects the needs of people.

Another mistake that a person commits is confusing the notion of "social status" and "self-esteem." In this case, life is completely dependent on the opinions of others. A person who lives by this principle, before doing something, thinks about what others will say or think about it.

As for the natural social needs of the soul, they determine the person's desire to be appreciated and loved regardless of status and professional merit. That is why, from birth, a person needs love, family, friendship, etc. To satisfy their mental needs, people establish and maintain certain relationships with loved ones people. If this does not happen, then there is a feeling of loneliness.

Still distinguish social needs in the achievement of goals , belonging to something, as well as in the desire to influence. They are equally common in any society and in no way depend on gender. According to statistics, 60% of the population has only one need expressed clearly, 29% have two. The most difficult to manage people who have all three needs on the same level, but only 1%.

In summary, I want to say that meeting social needs is a complex process that requires a lot of effort. This concerns not only work on oneself, but also constant development, that is, training and realizing one's skills.
