Transfer of embryos for 3 days

Transplantation of embryos during in vitro fertilization is one of the stages of a complex process, as a result of which a woman must bear and give birth to a long-awaited child. The doctor and reproductologist defines the term and the number of embryos attached individually for each woman, taking into account all the features. In the article we will consider the features of embryo transfer on day 3 and indications to it.

Embryo transplantation with IVF

The procedure for transplanting embryos is carried out under sterile conditions, specially trained by a reproductive physician, it does not require additional anesthesia. A woman during manipulation is on a gynecological chair. The transfer of embryos is carried out using a sterile catheter, which is introduced into the uterus through the cervical canal. A special syringe is connected to the catheter, in which embryos are located. After the procedure, the woman is offered to be in a horizontal position for 40-45 minutes.

Embryos of three-day embryos

Embryos are chosen for replanting, which are divided into 4 or more cells. The transfer of embryos is carried out on the 3rd and 5th day, depending on the number of qualitative fertilized eggs that are actively dividing. Thus, the transfer of three-day embryos is carried out when obtaining from 3 to 5 quality embryos. On the 2nd day embryos are injected with IVF if only 1-2 quality embryos are obtained, and if there are 6 or more embryos, they are implanted on the 5th day. To carry out the transfer, the morphological characteristics of the embryos are taken into account, they are of type A, B, C and D. Preference is given to types A and B, and embryos of type C and D are planted in the absence of the first.

Thus, we considered indications for transfer of embryos during in vitro fertilization and optimal terms, and also got acquainted with the transfer procedure.
