Vyshyvanka with own hands

Vyshyvanka is part of the national Ukrainian costume . This is a shirt decorated with embroidered ornaments. Female and male models differ from each other not only with the cut, but with the location and type of patterns. In this article we will consider how to sew by own hands male and female models of Ukrainian embroidery, and also how it can be decorated.

How to sew a man's embroidery - a master class

The peculiarity of the male model is that it is expanded by a geometric ornament or cloth is sewn to the fabric with it.

It will take:

• cloth - linen or poplin;
• braid;
• pattern of details;
• sewing accessories.

There are two options for sewing men's embroideries.

Option number 1:

1. We cut out 2 pieces of sleeves, 2 halves of the front part and 1 integral back part using the existing patterns.
2. We spend the halves of the front part, leaving a cut on the top, the edges of which should be swept and ironed.
3. From the front side along the cut we sew the braid.
4. We fold the front and back parts with faces to each other, we spend side and shoulder seams.
5. We take the sleeves, turn the lower edge and squander. On the front side we sew the braid.
6. Having folded the sleeve by half, we spread it along the edge.
7. Sew to the main workpiece of embroidery. To make the sleeves sit well, several folds should be made on the shoulders.
8. We cut out a white collar from the white fabric according to the dimensions of the top cut of the product and the height we need. Fold the resulting rectangle in half, we spread and we sew the braid to its front side. Then we add it to the edge of the neck.
9. We sew the bottom edge of the shirt - and our embroidery is ready.

Option number 2

1. We cut out two identical parts: front and back. Folding them with facial sides, we dilate lateral and shoulder seams. At the front, we make a cut with scissors.
2. We cut out from a white fabric of a strip in width on 4 see Fold in half, and then each part once again. Obtained oblique bake smooth.
3. We process the edges of the throat and the incision at the front with the beikas.
4. Sew on both sides of the cut tape.
5. We sew the sleeves, as it was described earlier (points 5-7 in the variant No. 1), and the ropes to the ends of the neck. Vyshyvanka is ready.

How to make women's embroidery with their own hands?

On embroideries for women, after the shirt is sewn, a pattern is embroidered. Most often an image of various colors (poppies, cornflowers, roses and others) is made, there may also be a geometric pattern, but more on the sleeves and the front strip than on the male.

It will take:

• fabric (white or black) - poplin, soft linen or chiffon;
• pattern;
• thread for embroidery;
• sewing accessories.

1. In its parameters we make patterns and on them we cut out details from white fabric.
2. Then we embroider red poppies on them with a cross: on the sleeves - in the upper part, and in front - just below the neck in the middle (on the chest).
3. Sew all the pieces. We process the neck with the oblique bake, and we lower the bottom of the embroidery by 1 cm and we spread it.

How to make a belt for embroidery?

The easiest way is to make a red belt-cord with tassels, interlacing the thick threads with a pigtail, then, according to the proposed scheme, we make them out of threads of the same or contrasting color.

More complex options are a fabric belt with an embroidered pattern along the entire length or woven, in a certain ornament.
